I have dreamed of becoming a full time artist, for as long as I can remember, but the gripping fear of failure along with my fathers “I told you so” always caused me to second guess my talents and abilities. I figured that I would make my family happier if I took the safe job with the decent living and job security. Now 20 years later, you will find me at the cross road, bitter, unhappy, and longing to fulfill my “creative life’s purpose”, but refusing to just walk away from my 9 to 5 job and bring the financial burden of a reduced pay check on my wife and children.

Now enters my dear friend Gerald Person who calls me up and says, “You always know what to say to everyone, so you should design some positive shirts”. This was a very unusual statement knowing his personality and the information just travels out of one ear into the air.

Gerald made the same statement about 3 months later, so I figured some divine intervention must have been at work and I’d better start listening. I knew that this would be a perfect opportunity to show my children that one person can make a difference, so I enlisted the assistance of my two boys Anthony, Jr. (13 years old) and Alec (11 years old) to help me with everything from the company name, design choices, and color selections.

This is how the company, Create-Sun was born, “Positive Thoughts for Positive People…where words become reality!!!” We have received numerous unbelievable testimonies that have reaffirmed that by honoring my creativity I have also blessed others.

A man, working for an inflexible boss, found the courage to believe in his own dream and invest in his own franchise. A grieving mother found the inspiration and motivation to finally leave the house after her daughter passed away from a sudden illness. Parents who found it difficult to relate to their teens, began open communication and dialog while discussing the information found within the quote book. A mother took her boys to Egypt for 12 days on a motivational quest for self enlightenment. A divorced female found the courage to get back into the dating scene after 20 years. A graduate student found the perseverance needed to complete her PhD dissertation. An 8th grader, who stayed in trouble, came across our website while looking over my sons shoulder at school. He starts to visit the site regularly and soon turns his grades around for the better and goes out of his way to send an email of thanks.

I learned that there are many ways to be creative and there is nothing more powerful than helping others to find and fulfill their creative life purpose.

Never miss an opportunity to give someone a positive word of encouragement…

Anthony is an accomplished writer, author, painter, sculptor, artist, entrepreneur, singer, drag racer, and motivational speaker; he encourages his readers to remember that your thoughts and beliefs are the building blocks of your reality.

Everyone in this world wants to live a healthy and successful life. You will not find even a single person who wants to face defeat or failure in his/ her lifespan. The principles of success can prove roadmap for anyone-from marketing professionals to small business owners, and from teachers to students and parents striving to achieve their professional and personal dreams and goals. Success touches every aspect of lives.

Success is personal. When you are successful with something, you are pleased with the outcome. You may even be thrilled with the results. It can be something that doesn´t take a lot of your time, such as quickly getting a good meal together or something that takes many years, such as completing a graduate degree program.

Success is not reserved only for a chosen few. Everyone has the capacity to be successful in every area of his or her life. Success results from cultivating certain habits and sticking to them. Consistency is a must. Successful persons have a certain type of personality. Successful person thinks in a particular way, talks in a particular way and acts in a particular way. Would you like to be a successful person too?

Affirmations are positive statements which are getting popular these days for self improvement. If repeated enough number of times over a long period, these leave a positive deeper impact on your personality and can create whatever you believe. For these to work for you, you need to follow a proper system which I am gonna describe in fairy detail.

Niche Yourself – Find what it is you love to do and use whatever that might be to serve others. The greater number of people you can serve within your chosen niche, the greater your chances of becoming successful in business. Also, keep your niche sharp and focused. There is no single recipe for success but there is a certain recipe for failure and that is to try and serve everybody.

Many Investment Gurus, with a straight face and a gleam in their eye, will insist that successful investing is a function of expansive research, skillful market timing, and detailed technical analysis. Others emphasize fundamental information about companies, industries, and markets. But trends and numbers are secondary to a thorough understanding of the basic principles of Investing and Management, and their interrelationships

You see, the 21st Century job market has changed a lot. The old-fashioned ways of job acquisition mean that you could be looking for a job for months. Besides, expectations of both employers and job-seekers have moved in decidedly new directions. For example, employers expect job-seekers to know and understand corporate goals. They want prospects to demonstrate how they can contribute.

If there is something that we business people have in common it is that we all crave success in one form or another. We are all born equal yet some people are much more successful in business than others. So why is this so?

There are certain focal points in life that force a person to take a step back and think about life as a whole, a brief glimpse into inspired living. This last weekend, for the first time in my life, I went under the knife.

It was a routine surgery, but nonetheless, it was invasive as a knife cut into my body around 10:00am. I wasn’t awake, thankfully. And, that hour of my life seems to have become a vapor. No memory or recollection. No dream or deep, ponderous thoughts. One moment you are in the operating room; the next, you are in the recovery room. What happened in between these two places is a mystery. For those of you who have experienced surgery, you can surely understand.

Prior to my surgery, I had to undergo a full physical exam. My surgery was scheduled for a Friday, so my exam was on the Monday prior. On Wednesday, I received a rather alarmed call from my doctor. He was cancelling my surgery, claiming my blood work came back “severely anemic”. Even though I had explained my hereditary anemic condition – indigenous of those with Mediterranean backgrounds. My father has this condition, as do I. If you looked at my blood work up and didn’t know I had this condition, it would appear I was bleeding internally. Thus the panicked call from my doctor. Even though I was confident the low blood count and irregular numbers was attributed to my anemic condition, the doctor was more confident it could be something else. So, on the day I was scheduled to make an appearance in the operating room, I instead paid visit to a specialist and had to release my mental preparation for surgery.

I had 2 days between the call from my surgeon and the visit to the hematologist. Within two days, my wife and I were a hodgepodge of concern and confusion. The former for the obvious reasons – what in the world could be wrong? And, the latter from the fact that I have never felt more healthy. I have purposed myself to eat better, exercise more and despite the physical reality of predisposed to lethargy, my mind has determined not to give in to being tired all of the time. I yawned and slept my way through my twenties, but my thirties have been spent more energized, more stimulated. My anemia hasn’t dissipated or “gone away”. Instead, the worries have been replaced by a simple love of life; one that I hadn’t experienced in the decade where I thought I knew anything – that know-it-all wasteland of our twenties where anxiety was the only way of life.

One never knows the predispositions of other people, especially doctors. So, I talk awhile with this new doctor. He looks at me directly. “This is pretty straightforward”. My heart sank a bit. He continued…”you’re in perfect health”. I asked him to say it again. Long story short, the blood work proved that I did have the anemic condition I’ve had since birth, and despite it, I was in great health.

I was feeling, physically, amazing. There was nothing within me that gave a hint to illness, despite the alarming report I was preparing myself to confront that day, with that doctor. I realized even though I’m getting older and things “break down”, I was very inspired for some reason. And, that inspiration was generating something within me that I can only describe as energy. I think I have reached the stage of my life that has me trying to figure things out less and open myself up more to the idea of inspired living.

I realized, walking out of this doctors appointment that gave the wonderful report of great news, that my life was truly energized by the ability to be inspired and engaged by each day, no matter how mundane or exciting or everything in between. I understood how little I actually have and that has inspired me to realize how much I really do. Sometimes, this is just enough of what we need to be spirited enough to move past our challenges and shortcomings. The surgery, as well as the days prior to it, provided me with a new opportunity to appreciate, in a different way, how inspired living is really the only way to live.

Inspired living goes hand in hand with inspired working.
Authenticity – Who Do You Become By The Decisions You Take?

It was when I was travelling in New Zealand that I saw the man fall off the bridge. Not any bridge, but a high suspension bridge spanning a deep gorge. For a moment I didn’t believe what I was seeing. I held my breath as the figure fell as if in slow motion through thin air.

Then I felt a huge wave of relief as I noticed that he was strapped to a safety harness which unravelled behind him like an unopened parachute. Perhaps he was a maintenance worker; it seemed as if there was some kind of temporary platform in the middle of the bridge.

When I got nearer, the truth became clear. It was my introduction to bungee jumping! Curious to find out more, I walked out onto the bridge and found the platform where other jumpers were getting ready. I looked down to the river far below and was almost sick at the thought of leaping off. I quickly left, resolving to stay well away from this ‘crazy activity’.

For many years afterwards, I could not understand why people were drawn to this kind of thing. Were they showing off? Was it just for an adrenaline rush? Looked at rationally, what was the point? Surely, it does not improve the environment or contribute to a better society.

Then there were other activities that seemed to make no sense. For example, why spend all day fishing to then return the catch? Why spend many hours cooking when a tasty nutritious meal can be made in a fraction of the time? Why redecorate a room that is already perfectly delightful?

When we focus only on the outcome of the task, it does not appear to be meaningful. From this we can easily conclude that, as we cannot see a meaningful result, there is no point doing the task.

Significantly we often use this ‘logic’ to stop ourselves doing things that would really benefit us. We may be drawn intuitively to an activity but deny ourselves because there is no ‘real point’.

For example, Toby had never learned to play a musical instrument but he seemed to be drawn to the trombone. At 38 years old, he was fascinated by its sound and looks. Yet he thought that there was no point in learning because he would never be fully proficient because of limited spare time. Besides he would never make a professional player so it would just be a drain on his finances. In short, there was no ‘point’.

Fortunately there is another way of looking at this – a perspective that offers liberating consequences for us all. Let’s ask a different question. Instead of asking ‘What do I achieve by doing this thing?’ let’s ask ‘Who do I become by doing this thing?’

Like the bungee jumpers, Toby realised that what mattered was the person he grew to be: either someone who was quietly frustrated and unfulfilled or someone who did what was important to them, irrespective of tangible results.

As a consequence of this new thinking, he went on to take up the trombone and now, several years on, he even plays in a small jazz band. While he makes no money, he knows that he would have regretted missing the opportunity to express his musical side. Playing has brought him much enjoyment too. No one can take this away from him.

So when you are evaluating whether to take a particular step, whatever questions you ask yourself be sure to include ‘Who do I become by doing this?’

Recently I stayed in a house where the owner was a keen collector of clocks. There were two impressive grandfather clocks, several pendulum wall clocks and a number of mantle clocks. Most of them chimed every hour.

However, they did not all show the same time. The first to strike the hour was long before the last. The irony seemed to be that the more clocks there are, the less sure you can be of the time!

This is an analogy for the complexity of life: we can get many contra-indications as to the path we’re really on and route ahead. In the confusion we have no clear sense of direction.

If you were in dense jungle (and perhaps it feels like it sometimes!), it would be helpful to climb a tall tree to get a clear view of the way ahead. Or maybe you would scale the slopes of a hillside to get above the tree line. Either way, a strategic view is essential to reach your objective.

Inspiration is the mountain top from where you can see what really matters. Then you can simplify on that basis, throwing out what you no longer need and prioritizing what remains. Most especially, being inspired can put you in touch with a real sense of purpose.

A strong sense of purpose will naturally simplify life. It becomes the gold-standard for our decision making. We can choose what to think and what to do depending on whether it contributes to our purpose or not.

Getting practical, how do you become inspired?

There are many techniques you can use: here are two simple yet powerful steps that work for most people:

1. Book yourself a date with inspiration – set aside some time. Even ten minutes will be a good start

2. Think back to a time when you were really inspired (it doesn’t matter whether it was recent or some while ago). Get into the memory and, in your mind’s eye, see what you saw then. Listen again the sounds that you heard then and re-experience the feelings from that time

To discover your true purpose, when you are inspired notice what is really essential in your life. What elements of your life are non-negotiable? (You may like to jot these down – eg. goals, relationships, ambitions, values, ethics, causes, challenges, talents, life-work). Your true purpose will be connected in some way with these essential factors.

Continuing in the quest for simplicity, now ask yourself:

- How closely is my life aligned to my true purpose?

- How much am I high-jacked by unnecessary complexity?

- What steps can I take to increase simplicity?

In the jungle, these are questions you can ask at the top of the tall tree; you can revisit them on a regular basis to check your navigation – to see whether you are ‘on-purpose’.

As you progress towards greater simplicity, you will find that all your clocks begin to tell the same time!

Trevor helps people who want to be truly inspired, so they can discover what really matters to them and enjoy the abundant energy, motivation and fulfilment that follow.

When it comes to work, as with everything else, we need to do our best to minimize the negative aspects and maximize the positive. Every job has its down side. The question is whether there is enough good to balance out the bad. One way to tilt the balance in a positive direction is to choose work that you are passionate about. This can make it easier to tolerate difficult people at work. Another way is to choose a group of people that you enjoy working with, or the freedom of working by yourself. This can make the unpalatable aspects of your work easier to deal with. Work relationships can be tricky, especially if you have difficulty with a superior in your chain of command. We often have to deal with personalities at work that we would never chose to spend time with if given the choice, but everybody´s got to make a living. The feeling of financial dependence tied to the job certainly raises the stakes of those relationships.

While we may need to tread carefully with a supervisor to avoid losing our job, I think we also have to be careful not to be so paralyzed by fear that we become doormats. Feeling mistreated on a daily basis at work is enough to make just about anyone unhappy. If you find yourself in a work environment that is hostile, abusive, or extremely negative, I would recommend forming a contingency plan for alternative employment options.

Having a back-up plan can give you the courage you need to use the healthy boundary skills mentioned throughout this article. You might be surprised at the changes you can bring about in your workplace interactions. Sometimes showing more backbone at work can earn you more respect. But of course, all of this depends on the complicated and unique set of personalities that you are dealing with.

Ultimately, if you can´t seem to escape or change the negativity, I highly recommend changing your job, or starting your own business working for yourself. Don´t forget that your day-to-day happiness, or lack thereof, is YOUR LIFE! Don´t settle for being miserable!

Some people have genuine limited flexibility with regards to where they can work, but for the vast majority of people it is their own false limitations that would make them settle for a job that they hate. If you choose not to change your job, then you will have to work extra-hard on your attitude. Try to become aware of the fact that every job is ultimately a choice. There may be other jobs that would pay less, require you to get more education first, force you to move, or require a long and arduous job search. There is always the possibility of starting your own business. If you realize this and still choose the job you´ve got, then evidently this job is better than your alternatives. The simple act of realizing that you are making the choice can cause a shift of attitude that makes you happier in the same situation.

We all have days when nothing seems to be going right. Heck some of us even have weeks and months like that. But even in the darkest of times there is always the possibility that things can get better.

The truth is no matter where you are today you are only ONE choice away from improving your life.

That’s right – just ONE choice.

You may have heard the saying “A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.” This applies to life too in which the journey to peace, happiness, success, health, or whatever else you desire starts with a single choice.

And that choice is simple: You simply choose to have a different life from this moment forward.

Once you have made that decision the wheels of creation are set in motion to make it so for you. At first they may appear to move almost imperceptibly, creaking under the strain as things are set in motion. But with movement comes momentum and it won’t be long before things are clipping along at a brisk pace and the woes of yesterday are nothing but distant memories.

Need an example from the real world?

Ok so up until this moment let’s say you are living in poverty. Let’s say extreme poverty where you are living under a bridge. And today when you woke up you made the choice that things are going to change. It wasn’t a wishing, begging or pleading but a statement of fact. Things are going to change.

Immediately you sense a new attitude within yourself and though you’re still sitting under that same bridge you somehow have hope where there was none perviously. As you go about your day you find a dollar on the ground. Sure you often find change but not paper money. Things are changing. Then you go to the shelter for dinner and they give you an extra piece of cake. A small bonus but things are changing.

The next day you find a bag full of clothing in the dumpster – nice stuff and just your size. More change. You clean yourself up, put on one of those outfits and go tell the people you used to beg from that things are changing and you’re looking for work. Then through a friend of a friend of a friend you are offered not only a job but a place to stay too. More positive change.

A few weeks later you hear of a class you want to take and you strike up a barter arrangement with the instructor. The material inspires you and you look into furthering your education in that field. Big changes keep coming as you enroll in the local college, complete your degree and go on to become a successful business person doing work you love. And every once in a while you visit that old bridge, dropping a dollar or two and leaving some clothes in the trash.

It all started with a SINGLE CHOICE – a statement of conviction that things are going to change.

It really does work, even if you’re living under a bridge.

There is a definite shift that is taking place on this planet, it is a global event and reaches into every corner of the globe and also involves all of the people of the planet. This is our opportunity to assist this change and shift to our advantage and the betterment of all.

Between now and November 11, 2009, everyone that joins Global Peace 11:11 Event has the time to practice getting still for one minute and creating the energy field of peace within themselves. This is practicing the statement of “go within”, which basically means that as you generate the feelings of peace within you, you are also generating a vibrational output of peace that radiates out like ripples on water, this vibration can affect at least 100 people around you.

The internet is a marvelous tool for this event as we can take it globally and all corners of the earth can participate efficiently, including all the different time zones and lifestyles. Using the internet has enabled the peace movement to become increasingly agile and organized and we are thrilled to be able to use this marvelous modality to spread this global peace event.

Are you interested in justice, peace, a better life for people in this country/world? Do you want to show solidarity with international struggles? Find peace within yourself, your family, your community and then spread on out in a global manner? The best opportunity to do this is about to happen and you’re invited to join us in Global Peace 11:11 Event.

This movement begins with you as an individual and then spreads out as each new person joins, and for now just practice being still on an inner and outer level for one minute every day for a daily vibrational shift; as you do this you will start reaching your peace vibration and to FEEL the qualities of peace within you. So think of a place or something that makes you feel peaceful inside and hold that FEELING for one minute.

Remember, what you focus on grows and you will get better at this practice the more you do it! It only takes the square root of one percent of any community to shift the whole community. This means it will only take 8000 people to come together and focus on the same thing for long enough to shift the whole planet! You can make a difference, you do make a difference, so come join in and make this shift happen for our Universe.

As this event evolves up to the actual date you can receive new and additional information at http://globalpeace1111event.blogspot.com/ which will include articles, artwork, videos, meditations, music and much more. The date of Global Peace 11:11 Event is November 11, 2009 at 11:00am Pacific Time.

A story appeared in our local newspaper recently about a man facing charges in court for the deaths of 5 people in a car accident. In his defense, he blamed the accident on a bad day. We have all had bad days and this poor soul had one of the worst days anyone could possibly imagine.

Every one of us knows what a bad day feels like. And we also know how easily a bad day can become worse. Have you ever heard this story or told it? “You wouldn’t believe what happened today. My alarm clock didn’t go off. I spilled coffee on my shirt. In my rush to get to work, I got every single red light. When I got here, I realized that I left my briefcase at home with all the notes for the meeting today. The whole world is conspiring against me.” And on it goes.

What causes this escalation? And, more importantly, how can this escalation be stopped?

A bad day has nothing to do with the world conspiring against you. It has everything to do with how you perceive what is happening to you. And where do you perceive your world? In your thoughts! And in your emotional reactions to your thoughts.

So let’s go back to the alarm not going off. You open your eyes, check the time, realize what happened and the adrenalin hits your entire body in microseconds. You jump out of bed and start flying around in a panic. Where are the thoughts? Are they berating you for sleeping in? Are they blaming the alarm clock for not working? Are they blaming anybody else for not waking you up?

Have you ever noticed that whenever you have been in a panic or stressed that the same thoughts keep repeating themselves over and over in your mind? What are the consequences of this? You end up on a mental, physical and emotional rollercoaster. The mind repeats: “How could this have happened? The adrenalin hits again. This fuels the emotional state and your body maintains a state of high alert with adrenalin overload. And on it goes.

The challenge in stepping off the rollercoaster is to first catch yourself in the act or at the beginning of the ride. For example, let’s go back to the alarm not going off again. You open your eyes, check the time and the adrenaline hits. You jump out of bed, realize that the adrenalin is the beginning of an old pattern you have decided to change. You stop, take 3 slow deep breaths. Take another deep breath and hum.- not a tune – just one sound. I haven’t met anybody who didn’t know how to hum. And don’t get distracted here with – “I can’t carry a tune” or “I don’t like my voice.” That’s just rollercoaster talk.

Hum for about one minute or so and really listen to the sound. Move your voice higher or lower and listen to those sounds. One minute isn’t going to make any difference to getting there late – you were going to get all the red lights anyway. What happens to your thoughts when you hum and listen intently to the hum? When I do this, the sound is so absorbing and my thoughts stop. At least for the time I am humming and listening. It is usually enough to stop the pattern and allow me to decide what I will do from a calmer space.

Being late can have consequences. That is just the way it is. Creating a drama about it doesn’t change the consequences, unless it makes them worse. We tend to become attached to our dramas because of the adrenalin boost among other things. What the humming does is shift you into the present moment. It doesn’t stop a crisis, but it can help remind you that in the present moment you can flow through a crisis.

Drama can easily lead us to becoming lost in thought or lost to the world. Remember, you are never lost when you are here now.

Have you been wondering why you are having so much trouble finding your life purpose? Do you feel as if your life purpose should be jumping up and biting you, yet you seem unable to grasp what it’s supposed to be, If so, you are not alone. You are having this problem because you are not approaching this matter in the right way and that’s because nobody has ever told you the right way to do it!

In going about finding your life purpose, you’ve probably done most of what today’s people on the same mission as you have been doing. You’ve been reading numerous amounts of self-help books and watching scores of self-help videos. Maybe, you’ve seen “The Secret” and you have all the “Law of Attraction” material. You’ve done positive affirmations, you’ve done all kinds of meditation, and you’ve prayed about it even if you’re not religious. You have talked about it with friends and family. Or perhaps you’ve done none of the above and are wondering there must be a purpose I was meant to fulfil, yet, your life purpose still manages to elude you.

It eludes you because none of these things are about finding your life’s purpose. I’m not saying that these things are not helpful, they certainly can be! You’ve been trying to use these advanced techniques without having any blueprints or design drawings!

Your true life purpose is not necessarily about making lots of money, or becoming successful, it is unique to every person

These are some of the questions people are asking themselves’

What is my life purpose?

Why am I here in this world?

Was I meant to be living an entirely different life than I am now?

Am I doing what I was born and destined to do?

You feel as if you are supposed to be doing more with your life.

There is a yearning to do what you love and are passionate about

You know that you’re not lazy, but you can’t stand the thought of your j-o-b because it just doesn’t fulfil you personally or financially.

You constantly find yourself wanting deeper meaning in your work as well as in your other activities

You feel that you are always wasting your time on things that aren’t important to you.

You would love to give more value to others, yet you cannot figure out how.

You’re concerned that your daily routine has become predictable and tedious.

Maybe you wonder if you are just “destined” to have this boring, rather meaningless life. Maybe that IS your life purpose. But when you are successful at discovering your life purpose, you will know, it is such a natural feeling because…

You will have more intense focus in your daily actions, you won’t just be drifting.

You will discover that you have tremendous discipline when it comes to being productive.

You will feel excited about your day, as you are charged with exhilarating motivation.

You finally feel in charge of your own life.

You will feel certain that your life and everything you do really matters.

You will find new wellsprings of energy and endless vitality.

You will have peace of mind like you have never known before. Wherever you are, you will feel as if you belong there.

You will be doing something that you are passionate about, that you enjoy and get immense pleasure from; it often entails helping others or giving in someway

You will feel it is your true calling and purpose in life

It is something that is not a chore, that you have to do, like a job, but something that flows naturally and effortlessly, from every fibre of your body, pure bliss!

Isn’t it time you lived your dream life? And said to yourself “I’m riding a huge wave of joy – it’s brilliant, I love it.”
